Who I Am

Hi, I’m Jess, and welcome to Enchanted Rant.

I’ve been writing here since 2007. Before that, I was filling a 333-page manuscript circa 1991-1995, and a journal named “Lofty” for about nine months in Finland at 18. It turns out I’ve always been a dispatcher. I just didn’t know Who I was reporting to.

Here’s the short version of the long, winding story. I left the American dream behind to make one of my own in Costa Rica. I learned to paraglide, earned the nickname Aventurina Valiente for my very public practice of archery, and wrote more than a hundred Letters from Costacalle. From May, 2012 I spent 13 years as a migratory house-sitter, following divine detours from home to home, until Love landed me in Sarasota, Florida.

Along the way I learned the one thing every post here is really about: God is All there is, and that All is only Love. Everything else is a delightful plot twist.
